Just So You All Know
Hey everybody! I know I haven't updated here in a while and it's mostly due to the fact that my LiveJournal is becoming more of my main blog. I'm going to be using this one less. just because the LJ is a lot easier to maintain. You can check it out by going here, or by clicking on the link above the entries. Feel free to drop by and comment on anything! :)

Hey everybody! I'm back from the land of surgery! Everything went perfectly (so says Dr. Stamper) and at the current moment, the shape of my face resembles that of Azura Skye more than my own. So yeah, feel free to come on over and say hi, since I'm not really doing a whole lot these days. Thanks to Ryan for the can of Boost(that'll come in handy later) and to Shaun for the email :). Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go take another hit of Vicodin :)~

Pirates of the Caribbean tonight!! 1)Who wants to come and 2)theater preference? So far our options are the UA in Old Town or LC. Went to Huntington this morning for all the pre-op stuff. It took almost 2 1/2 hours!! Poking and prodding insued, but I survived and now have an oh-so-stylish hospital bracelet. Off to go clean my room...

Only 1 more day til Pirates of the Carribean! woo! And only a few more hours until I might be able to escape the hell-hole of my home and see people...hopefully...otherwise I'll probably just hermit myself in my room and spend some quality time with my gamecube. I went over to Nicole's last night to meet up with people and we ended up splitting into 2 groups: One for Chicago and the other for Target. I went to go see Chicago for probably the 4th time(yeah, it's kinda sad). Before that, I had a brief discussion about the latest Harry Potter behemoth/book with Monica, Emma and Felicia which prompted much mocking from Russell (I was amused either way). I'm debating whether or not to do another overhaul of my blog...just for something to do. So don't be surprised if you come here one day and find it bright pink or something (don't worry, it won't be bright pink. It'll be blindingly white :)~ )

Europe: A Retrospective
Still Monday
Ok, here's a rundown of what I've been doing for the past 2 weeks. I wrote some stuff down in my little book that I brought, so I'll probably stick some stuff from that up here. So yeah, here goes!
6/19/03 9:38pm(LA time)
Dear jesus we're only over Canada!! For some reason, I'm really missing Air France and French food in general (We flew Lufthansa to Frankfurt, Germany) My fear of German food and the German language is growing, seeing as I only know little/nothing of either. At least I had preparation for France. I only know how to ask if there's a gay bar in German. Yep, I'm doomed.
6/20/03
Finally got off the plane of death. The highlight of the plane trip was discovering a very nice picture of Orlando Bloom in the 'It List' issue of Entertainment Weekly, which I stared at for long chunks time. Felt like shit after we got into the airport, which was probably due to the fact that I had very little sleep. I hate sleeping on airplanes...mostly because I can't! Then, it was an endless succession of trains to get from Frankfurt to Rothenburg. Arg!
6/21/03 Rothenburg!
An adorable little medieval town in southern/middle Germany. Most people still live inside the walls of the original town, which has so many cute little shops and tons of history, just lying about! My only problem was that my voice was still shot from all the festivities of Grad Nite and I sounded like a man for a good 4 days afterward.
6/22/03
Spent the day taking trains from Rothenburg to Munich (or Munchen if you want to be all German and shit)
6/23/03 Castles!
We took a tour of Linderhof and Neuschwanstein (2 of Ludwig II's castles) today. Linderhof was really just a mini Versailles(it was done like that on purpose) and was basically Ludwig II showing that he was a member of the 'I Love Louis XIV' club (ick). Then we trucked ourselves over to Neuschwanstein and hiked up to the castle, which was very cool. Pictures can't really do it justice, and sure, Ludwig II was a bit loopy, but he sure knew how to decorate! Oh yeah, the weather was torture! It was so hot and humid the entire time we were in Munich, and our only source of coolness was opening windows in our hotel room...and letting all the bugs in.
6/24/03
Mmm...concentration camps. We went to Dachau today, which was pretty damn eerie. Turns out I have ancestors on both sides of the barbed wire, so...yeah. It was very strange. After that, my mom and I went to the Residenz(a palace turned governmental place) and accidentally came across the Reliquary Room! EEEWW!!! Just imagine minding your own business, admiring paintings, architecture, whatever, turning into the next room and as you were looking at some very ornate golden objects, suddenly came to the realization that there was a FINGER inside it!! Fingers, hands, bits of a thorn bush being passed off as pieces of the crown of thorns, nearly microscopic bits of fabric and wood, and, the daddy of them all, the head of John the Baptist...and his mom. I'm serious!! The little sign said so! Actually, I was just really creeped out by the bits and pieces and the 2 DEAD BABIES in the middle of the room...so I left...quickly.
6/25/03
We went to Nymphenburg (another palace with MASSIVE gardens), the BMW museum and factory, the top of the Olympic tower(which is a hold over from the Munich games in 197somethingorother). Then it was a night train to Paris. Imagine fitting my family and our luggage into a room about as big as 2 phone booths...and expecting us to sleep comfortably. Needless to say, I got friendly with the Tylenol PM and everything was fine :)~
6/26/03 Paris!!
Yay! Back in Paris, and in an entirely different part. It took me about 20 minutes to find where we were on the map, but I did it, and my bearings were soon back in place. Took a city tour(*yawn* been there, done that)and ended up at the Louvre and was able to really see the Egyptian wing since I wasn't dragging Allen and Dan with me(sorry guys!). I also made it a point to get most of the stuff I had meant to get the first time around, but didn't get a chance to. One such item was a lighter that, when you lit it, the flame was blue at first, but then turned green after a few seconds. :)
6/27/03
Started off with Versailles and I think we actually walked every bloody inch of the gardens. Then it was off to the Eiffel Tower(uh-gin) and dinner where we saw a guy wearing black leather pants, orange clown shoes, a cropped zebra-furry vest, and sparkly sunglasses. I named him Mango :). I also came to the conclusion that I HATE traveling with my family. I'm well aware that I'm not a perfect person by any means at all, but it seems that everything my mom, dad, and brother does just annoys the absolute crap out of me. Where's dan when I need him? Or Allen for that matter? Or any of my friends?! Must not let heads roll...
6/28/03
We started off with the intention of going to Notre Dame to climb the towers, but they were ordaining priests so it was a no-go. We shopped instead and I got a bunch of really pretty art nouveau prints and went down instead of up and saw the ruins under Notre Dame that were part of the foundations of Gallo-Roman Paris. Skipped over to St. Chappelle(ooh ahh) and then took a Sewer Tour of all things. Yet another one of my mom's fantastic ideas. It smelled like, well, shit and was really weird. On to Pere Lachaise(the really big, old cemetary) and said hello to Jim Morrison and all his fans. Galleries Lafayette was next
(think Harrod's, only French) and it was an absolute zoo! It was like the day after Christmas sale AND the Thanksgiving sale all in one day! Notes for the day: My feet are going to fall off any minute now. How is it that I can attract guys in other countries but not in my own? Arg. BUT I did see a guy who looked like Orlando Bloom on the Metro ;)
6/29/03
My mom decided last night that we were all going to find a flea market today. We spent TWO BLOOKDY HOURS wandering around the really dirty part of Montmartre looking for something that didn't exist, all the while being led by my mother and her non-existant sense of direction. I convinced her to ditch the flea market and we went to the Pompidou(modern art museum) instead. On to Invalides, which was a war musuem and an old soldiers hospital at the same time. Oh yeah, and it had Napoleon's tomb and, contrary to the BILLIONS of carvings, mosaics, paintings, and dinner plates, I'm pretty sure Napoleon was never Emperor of Rome. I dragged my family back over to the Latin Quarter to revisit my old hotel and familiar areas. We went to the Middle Ages museum(no a/c) and ate at none other than the dead goat restaurant!!
6/30/03 I Love Travelling! (note sarcasm)
There was a strike in Belgium today and we found out when we were on the platform that our train was stuck in Belgium and was therefore cancelled. Soo...went from Gare du Nord to Gare l'Est to figure out what to do. Got a flight from Paris to Amsterdam, but had to go BACK to Gare du Nord to take the RER to the airport. Took a Brazilian airline to Amsterdam and discovered that Portugese is just like Spanish...only not. Amsterdam is too cool. And the best part is there are separate cafes from pot smoking and cigarette smoking! I was amazed at the abundance of marijuana in Amsterdam. They even had little starter kits so you could grow your own at the tourist shops.
7/1-2/03
We weren't in Amsterdam long, so I'll mush the 2 days together. We visited with my mom's friend who lives just outside of Amsterdam, went to several museums and got to watch The Osbournes uncensored. We left for London on the 2nd.
7/3/03
Back in London (I was there 4 years ago). We really just wandered around today. We went to Covent Gardens and the most important thing in that we saw Bombay Dreams!!! A great musical(all Bollywood fabulous) and was just all-around fun.
7/4/03 Isn't today a holiday or something?
We didn't realize it was the 4th of July until about noon :) Our festivities consisted of seeing a bus decked out in red, white, and blue balloons go by. Went to Westminster Abbey(very crowded with monuments), the Cabinet War rooms(yay?),St. Paul's Cathedral(again) to climb to the top(again)and ended the day by waiting for low tide so we could go wander along the banks of the Thames and find stuff. Oh, did I find things :) I even met this really hot guy named Peter who, after having a few drinks at a nearby pub, had seem people wandering along the river and came down to see what I was doing. Did I mention that he was hot? ;) He was about 23, blond, and sounded kind of like Jaime Oliver without the lisp. We talked for a while, but then he had to go catch a bus home and I had to go back. To my hotel. With my family. *sigh* I'll stick up an inventory of what we found later.
7/5/03
Started off with the Portobello Road market(very famous street market known for antiques and just about everything else you might want) My mom and I went to see Kensington Palace while Darin and my dad went to a Magic(as in the card game) convention. You can laugh now. Moving on, we all met up at the Victoria and Albert museum and proceeded to get lost and separated. We saw the Reduced Shakespeare Company(all of Shakespeare's works in 90 minutes) and I laughed my ass off. Imagine seeing the the Murder of Gonzago play done as a puppet show and King Hamlet is eaten by a shark. And at the end, they had 3 minutes left so they did Hamlet again(twice actually) and finally, ended it all by doing Hamlet backwards as fast as they could.
7/6/03 Last Day!
Spent the morning combing the Thames banks again and found nothing but broken pottery, pipe bits, at least 5 skeletons and probably 2 of children, horse bones(and teeth) and no cute British guys. Toured the Globe theater and watched a rehearsal of an all-female production of Richard III. Got on the plane, finished Harry Potter(the new one) and now I'm here!
The End
Helloooooo La Canada!!

Thursday, June 19
Wow, I actually graduated! Now it just seems so surreal that it actually happened. And Grad Nite seems like a very strange dream right now. It was really exciting and Kimi has a bunch of pictures of all the mayhem that ensued :) As for me, I have a few, but they'll probably get scanned after I get back from Europe. I'll probably get in an update or two from Europe(this time it'll actually happen :)~ ) and let you all know what's going on as I return to my 2 homelands (France and Germany) hehe :)
Shaun: I still have your yearbook page and YOU still have my Buffy cd! (I'll be wanting that back at some point before August 25)
Erin: I have your grey sweater thingy. It's safe inside my house so no one will steal it and you still have my yearbook. If you want to give it to either Kimi or Nicole sometime in the next week or so that'd be cool too :)
Sarah: I got your yearbook page :)~
And to everyone, I'll see you all in 2 weeks!! :)

When The Livin's Easy
Sunday, June 15
Since both my dad and I have a thing for hot sauces, I got him the hottest one available round these parts. We just have to keep it away from children and pets...or they'll explode or something :) Yesterday was Anne's graduation party, which was really fun and, for me at least, the first real day of summer. I went swimming, ate too much chips n' salsa, and attempted to remedy my white girl-ness. Everybody brought their yearbooks, so they got passed around and as of right now, I have 5 left to do. I didn't go with Erin, Jason, and Nicole to Club 17 because I had no really interest in driving into Hollywood and spending money that I don't have. But perhaps one of these day's I'll actually go into 17 and pick up guys or something :)~ Other than that, my weekend has consisted of studying, finishing the syntopticon, and finishing yearbook pages. Does anybody else find it incredibly surreal that we're actually graduating on Wednesday?

If You Walk into a Room and People Scream, "Oh no! It's the Ebola virus!"
Wednesday, June 11
The rest of you lot may have SARS, but i seriously think I have ebola or something equally painful. I felt like absolute shit all day except for when I was drawing, which was very zen for some reason. Even now, I feel like I'm about to throw up...and I don't know why!! I really don't want to take the French and Geology finals tomorrow. On a bit of a random note, this was the day of lasts. It was our last full day of school. Our last day in SSR. Last day for make-up work in Geology. (not that the last one really mattered) It was so weird knowing that this really is the end of high school. It's so strange thinking that next year I'll be in a completely different place, with some of the same people, but for the most part, I'll be alone. I won't get to see all of you first thing in the morning in the CRC or randomly go to people's houses or even to Higley's. It's all so sad, but I know it's just part of all this madness we call life. I know I may not say it very often(or at all) but I really care about all of you and I'll be here for you no matter what. Just thought you'd like to know :)
Soundtrack: Sarah McLachlan. Beautiful, yet extremely depressing for some reason. Perhaps that's what inspired today's entry...
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Tuesday, June 10
Here's my latest bit of creativity. Perhaps one of these days it'll be up here. Anyhoo, I'm trying my best to keep some sort of composer in these last few days of school as I frantically struggle to get my grades up. In other news, I'm working away on all of your yearbook pages (all 9 of them at the moment), and they should be ready to go next week or at the end of this week at the very earliest. And now, for your viewing entertainment...

There Should Have Been an Emperor Fabulous
Sunday, June 8
It's been a few days, so I'll start first with Orientation, which was Thurs. and Fri. It was really cool meeting some of the people I'll be spending the next 4 years of my life with. Not to mention the abundance of new hot guys :). Out of all the people I met, here are a few of the males that stood out from the rest:
Tristan: my new buddy. likes Led Zeppelin(we were rocking out to Immigrant Song while waiting for everyone else to finish meeting with our advisor) and has decided to throw the first party of next year. All we have to do is wait for either the giant plane-towed banner or the specatcular entrance.
Danny: One of the O' leaders, a junior methinks. Very nice, very hot, and he brought a guitar.
Aron: another O' leader. A really cute disenchanted theater major, he's only 19. Did I mention the cuteness?
Graham: a really sweet Southern boy who looks like a mix between Charlie Porter, Cameron Curtis, and Nathan Fillion(Caleb from Buffy).
I also managed to score the best schedule EVER! I'm taking Math 102(basic math), Latin 101, Religions of the World, College Writing, and Art of the Cinema. No classes before 11am on Monday, Wed. and Fri., and classes at 9:25am on Tues. and Thurs. How sweet is that? :) I'll put the other half of my weekend up in a bit.
Sundtrack: Led Zeppelin-The Ocean

If you read 1984, you'll understand :) I think their relationship is really sweet considering the circumstances. It adds a refreshing plot to the story. BUT it seems like one of those things that won't work out...I guess I'll just have to keep reading. Anyhoo, I'm off to Freshman Orientation tomorrow at LMU. It'll be tomorrow and Friday morning, so in short, I won't be here. Yearbooks were given out today! Yay! Let the signing frenzy begin! And for all of you who I consider mis amigos, I'm making each of you a special page...since it's not humanly possible to fit all I want to say in a small corner of a yearbook page. So much to say!

I'm having a lot of fun adding Newspeak words to Word XP's dictionary just so it doesn't put those annoying little red squigglies underneath the words. For anyone who is unfamiliar with Newspeak, read 1984. Today was relatively painless. AMT was dumb as always, but this time we had graphing calculators thrown in. I got married to Orlando Bloom in French, which was kinda cool. Gov was a joke, English was cool(I aced the Stranger quiz! yay!). Geology was a much-needed nap time, and art was filled with Led Zeppelin. There was a pizza party/photo swapping thing at lunch for all of us Paris folk, and I added a few more photos to my massive collection. Dan was attacked by a cupcake today. Vicious pastries! Well, more like vicious pastry-wielding little girls. Either way, it's amusing. Back I go to 1984...

While I'm waiting for the KPCC people to stop blathering on about nuclear power plants in Iran and other mindless crap :) it turns out I'm going to be listening to Jimmy Page, not Robert Plant. Still unbelievably cool. So I have to do without hearing my sex god talk, but instead I get to hear my guitar idol talk about the new cd and dvd. And now they're talking about Mercury. *twirls finger* Hurry up and get to Jimmy Page!! Arg!!

My mom is convinced that my late grandfather is getting increasingly frustrated at the growing number of animals he has to take care of. As of yesterday, he gets to take care of another guinea pig. Holy crap! I put in my name for the googlism thing and got this as a result. This begs the question, "Who are you people?!" I also noticed that an alarming number of me's live in Europe and I know of at least one living in New Zealand. Creepy. Oh, and to anyone reading this, go see 'The Italian Job'. It's damn good and I now have the urge to get/drive a Mini :) Kimi and Shaun came over last night and we had an impromtu Troika which was really nice and very chill. Shaun is the coolest person I know who lives in a garage. Come to think of it, he's the only person I know who lives in a garage. I myself wouldn't be able to live in a garage for fear of a feral raccoon coming in and attacking me during the night. Or something like that. I think we're all going to go see Guys and Dolls later tonight...with possible food before hand. From what I've heard, they managed to pull it all together for the performances, and I can only hope it actually happened. Otherwise we'll be either groaning in agony or laughing our asses off. In any situation, we will be entertained by the songs and dances of the drama folk. Okaybyebyenow.

My day has consisted of failing an AMT test, being bored/entertained by certain parties in 3rd, food, being really bored, more food, and Windwaker. I want a little Makar! He's the cutest thing ever and he makes the cutest little jingle/rattle when he walks. Any cuter and he'd probably be a chinchilla. Ok, back to Windwaker.

Art was actually productive and I think I finally have this comic-esque style thing down. Now I just have to draw Trinity...and buy a shitload of Prismacolors. Today has been the most bizarre day ever. Aside from the hushed atmosphere at school due to Tom and all the goings-on at Rachel's party, I kept getting mistaken for Anna Behr(who I am not). I got called in to see Mrs. Spangler who asked me if I'd spoken to Langdyke about the party, to which I responded by telling her that she was probably thinking of Anna, and not me. THEN, you're all gonna love this, the cops came by about an hour ago all ready to ask me questions about the party. I explained to them that they were probably looking for Anna and they were really nice and a bit confused about it all. Other than that, I was thouroughly amused by Dan during 6th(no more dessert for him ;) )and looked through the new issue of EGM. Also, we got this kickass plastic sphere from the Sci-Fi channel which had Taken(yay!) and Children of Dune(yay?) in it. And there was a fuzzy green thing that had So Graham Norton in it(bless BBCAmerica!). Any takers? And with that, I'm off to go read all of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead for the quiz manana. Merry Memorial Day! Actually, I slept through all the Memorial Day festivities and could really care less about the whole thing. I only like it because it gives us all a day off from the hell we call school. Anyhoo, I spent my morning sleeping and watering trees in Windwaker. After that, I was kidnapped by Jen and Sarah and we migrated to Old Town to do some pre-movie shopping. I got some really hot underwear at Victoria's Secret(that I will have to hide from my mom) and a cute tank top at Urban. It's white and has little bats on it and red ruffly things and it says "I only saw her at night and she only drank red wine" in the bottom corner :). Then we saw "Bruce Almighty", which was really funny. I just finished my Geology paper and a simultaneous shopping excursion for Matrix sunglasses. Hmm...$240 or $24.95? Choices, choices. But then again, I've already made my choice so it wouldn't really matter which one I pick now ;)

Morning everybody (blearily rubs eyes). Prom finally came, happened, and went and I dare say that it was pretty damn cool. Zach picked me up a little early and we were the first people over at Kimi's. The rest of the people began showing up at 5:45 for pictures and ooing and aahing over dresses, hair, nails, dates, etc. Everyone looked so incredibly gorgeous(ladies) and hot(guys)! So many guys in tuxes! aahh!! :) After pictures we all crammed in our respective limos and headed over to the Biltmore which was very pretty from the little that I saw of it. Pictures were amusing(fitting 30 people in the picture) and it was very bizarre having people constantly comment on me being hot. It's not something I'm really used to, so it was kinda cool. They gave us chicken/steak and the best cheesecake I've had in a while for dinner, and seranaded us all with bad r&b slow songs during the meal. The dance itself was fun, although it got so bloody hot and my feet were killing me after a while. Felicia, we need our coalition against shoes! And clothes for that matter... ;) Right. The bowling people left around midnight, and the rest of us left at 12:30 and proceeded to pass out/sprawl in the limos on the way back. We had an 'Almost Famous'-esque moment and sang along to Basketcase on the way back, even though everyone was nearly dead. We all went over to Russell's to chill and watch Futurama until the bowlers got back, and then we migrated over to Eric's party house for pool, food, and 'Happy Gilmore'. Zach and I left around 3:30ish because I was really tired and people weren't doing anything really exciting. Work was a bit of a daze this morning, but I did get to experience the joy of the kroq block weekend. Weezer, Metallica, Rage, No Doubt, 311...good times. And with that, I'm off to go sleep some more.
P.S.
For some prom pics, see Kimi's blog. She has one of those new-fangled "digi-tal" cameras. Me, I'm stuck with a camera obscura so I can't exactly get pics up here without going through a lot of effort to do so.
Facials Are Fun :)
Friday, May 23
God I love Senior Ditch Day...and ditching that for that matter ;). I went down to Studio City with mis padres to go find the resale store in hopes of snagging some Buffy clothes, but apparently the place moved 2 years ago. Soo...off we went over to Toluca Lake(about 5 minutes from where we were) and found the store. Reel Clothes is what it's called, and they didn't have any Buffy clothes since it's all being auctioned off on eBay. Grrr. But I did get to go see their back room and the 2 Buffy things they did have, which were a Sevaldi Demon costume and a cute little Sevaldi baby. Much coolness. I also got a Custo shirt for $20(which is a HUGE score since Custo shirts normally run in the $60-$70 range) that was used in "Confidence" apparently. Facials are fabulous, fabulous things and Burke-Williams once again proves its coolness. I was told people called while I was out, but no one's home! Where is everybody? Maybe someone will call...or I'll call someone later. Bored now.

Maybe I Am Cookie Dough...Or Maybe Just Nearly Done Cookies
Wednesday, May 21
Why should I pay hundreds/thousands of dollars for cool Buffy clothes/items when I can just find them in Studio City? Field trip time!! Today, academically speaking, was an absolute waste. French was dumb as usual, Felicia, Sarah, Russell and I ditched 4th (due to the Golden State testing for the juniors) and went to 7-11 for slurpees and then to Sarah's house to watch Super Troopers. It was a nice alternative to English. Art was boring as all hell, since I had nothing to do and didn't really feel like doing much. Today was also the magical day where I get to make the monthly commute to Westwood to have the doctor look at my head and tell me to keep doing what I'm doing. This simple sounding task takes roughly 3-4 hours in total due to the evilness of LA traffic. Brain-deadness frequently occurs afterward, as does extreme hunger and/or boredom. All the driving gave me time to think, and since I was listening to a disturbing amount of love songs on the radio(aren't most songs about love in one way or another?)it suddenly hit me: The cookie dough monologue from Buffy last night made perfect sense! And it really spoke to me too, although I think I'm a bit closer to being done, but then again, people always like to eat cookie dough :)

So that's the end of Buffy.
Ah, To Be a Guinea Pig
Still Tuesday
Ok, i'm going to take a break from my essay since it's doing what many of my essays end up doing: dissolving into a bunch of nonsense that goes around in little circles. Let's see: Today is Tuesday and not a whole lot went on. It's nice and hot, which I really like because it means less clothing and opportunities to sleep naked. I love sleeping naked! It's so nice and I don't have to worry about being too hot or too cold and it's just so freeing. Good times :). Jen and I saw a bad accident today at lunch in front of Juice It Up. A little red Miata got hit head on, spun around, hit a parked car, and ended up facing up Foothill. The guy was a little bleedy and pretty shaken, but he was okay otherwise. We made a quick exit with our smoothies in an effort to avoid the accident scene and traffic. Other than that, Geology was boring as all hell. Katie(Barber) and I decided that in the time it takes for a Geology class to pass, we could go to college, get married, have kids, and watch our grandkids grow up before the bell rang. I despise that class and Mr. Traeger is being stupid. Moving on. Art was cool(I did another Fray drawing) and Shaun came to visit along with Aaron Edberg(who was appropriately mocked, with excellence points going to Ingrid) and I'm signed on to do a final blob comic. 6 panels of good, blobby fun ;). As for matters of the car, it turns out the damage won't cost as much as I had feared and I should be getting it back in about 2 weeks. I'm paying for half of the repairs (I actually offered to pay it all) and my parents are taking some money from Darin since it was largely his fault as well. I also have the difficult task of deciding whether or not to get another guinea pig. There's this really adorable little guinea pig at Andersen's who hasn't been sold and since he's getting bigger/older(due to the not being sold thing) he probably won't get sold :(. Soooo...the lovely folks there offered to give him to us. My mom's concern was the fact that I have 2 aging, moderately crochety guinea pigs who might not get along with a 4 month old pig. (Think of it as an old lady, a middle-aged-getting-up-there man, living together and suddenly having to live with an 11 year old boy). Methinks I might just go ahead and bring him home on Saturday...or maybe Friday :). I'm really excited about Troika tonight, and also really really sad since this really is the last Buffy episode. I'm probably gonna cry or something, but at the same time do a happy dance if Dawn dies(oh please! oh please!)Buffy update will come later :).

How the hell am I supposed to write an essay on "Mrs. Dalloway" when I have five billion other things I need to think about?!

Sunday, May 18
I suppose I should update one of these days. Last night I went to Emma's birthday shindig and hung out with a nice portion of everyone. Pizza was eaten, Apples to Apples was played, and a good time was had. I saw Mandie and Scott as I was leaving and we chatted for a short bit before I drove home. Speaking of driving, I'm letting you all know right now that I don't have a car anymore. It's a long, humiliating and rather depressing story, but the bottom line is I don't have a car. So alls you folks who I usually give rides to, I probably won't be able to give rides as often as I'd like for a bit. I suppose the upside of this whole fucked up situation(again, long story I'd rather not get into right now) is that either my mom or myself will get a 'new' car most likely within the month. (sigh) Right. Off to do...something.

Wednesday, May 14(one day to go!)
Apologies for not updating yesterday. My computer was violently besieged by 2 programs which took the libery of downloading themselves onto my computer when I went to the 'How LC are you' quiz. I spent a short bit hunting the programs down and getting them off/out of my computer. For full details on the exciting adventure we had getting our Matrix tickets, please see Kimi's blog. Nothing truly exciting happened today, although Shaun and I did ditch SSR to gleefully run over to Subway in hopes of taking advantage of their Rainy Day special thing. Turns out in expired last month so we just ended up getting regular sammiches and enjoying a nice sit-down lunch. Today's discoveries: Shaun and I are distantly, distantly related through Vikings(Erik the Red and Leif Erikson) and actually had a few classes together way back when. I managed to finish my Buffy cast picture and drove Ingrid and Vicky to McDonalds during 6th. Now I'm off to go commune with my cube :)

You Let Me Violate You
Monday May 12
Physicals aren't fun. I feel violated in more ways than one and both my arms hurt from the tb on one and from having blood taken from the other :( But yeah, my new doctor's really cool (Shaun, you'd like her ;) ) and all tests show that I'm not dead or harboring ebola or something. Anyhoo...Not much went on today, it being Monday and all. Jen and I ditched 2nd and hung out in the ASB room. My achievement for the day: I got to level 9 on Trogdor! woo! It's the small things in life :). Last night was another enjoyable Troika, even though the episodes weren't the best. I'm seriously debating whether or not to make a 'I'm the next victim!' shirt, just to be weird like that :)~. I'm off to go dig out the cube of joy and either do some happy/colorful sailing or go all Destructo girl on the evil undead. Hmm...choices choices.

Sunday May 11
Ok, weekend summary time. Friday night I went to Comedy Sportz with a bunch of people and proceeded to be entertained by the players. Was anyone else frightened by the small asian girl? After that, Emma got asked to prom (too cute!) and we all migrated to Higley's where we got a much-needed caffeine boost. Ryan, John, Kimi, Shaun and I all went back to Kimi's for some Smash Bros. and that was pretty much my evening. Saturday the entire Los Angeles Basin decided it needed hamsters and other pet supplies so I had to work until around 5ish. I was informed when I got home that we(my family) would be going to some radio play thing at my church. I was a bit hesitant at first, but it actually turned out to be kinda cool. Lots of talented people and siblings/spouses of famous types (i.e. Lisa Groening[yep, of Simpsons creator fame] among other people). When it was over I made a quick getaway, swung by Shaun't house, and joined people at Kimi's house. We watched Red Dragon, which, now that I think about it, was a damn good movie. Now I just have to watch the other 2 :). I made a last-minute run to Ralphs at about 12:30 to grab a Mother's Day card and discovered that the Ralphs parking lot is the cool place to be after midnight. Odd. Well, that about brings us to today. Worked this morning (only 1 casualty), ate cranberry orange muffins, 'church', and I just got back from lunch at Saladang Song. Mmmm...Thai food :D. And to finally wrap up all of the madness and hysteria of prom dates, I finally have one! Everything's been worked out and Diana will go with Simon, Emma with Blum, Kimi with Andrew, and I with Zach. A tremendous sigh of relief there. Ok, I'm off to go do homework(ick).
